VINTAGE TRAILED - RAY ALDERSON



Ray Alderson has a 350 acre sheep/arable farm in Bolam, County Durham.  Ray has been match ploughing for some 30 years, ploughing with a Standard Fordson and Ransome Plough. Ray competes in high cut, classic and trailed events and is a familiar face at ploughing matches around the country.

He has currently won over 350 titles at all levels.


Twice high cut British Champion

Once British Trailer Champion

3 times Welsh High Cut Champion

European Champion 2000

Scottish overall Champion 2005


Ray is an excellent all round Ploughman and has to be rated in the top 3 in the country.




VINTAGE MOUNTED - IAN BERRIMAN



Ian Berriman is a farm foreman at Sunderlandwick Estate near Driffield. Ian has been ploughing for 24 years winning many trophies in and around the East Yorkshire area.  Ian ploughs with a Ford Dexta and a Ransome plough, he comes from a well known ploughing family in the East

Yorkshire area. Ian has a small collection of Fordson Tractors.


Ian is a good competitive Ploughman.





CLASSIC - DAVID THOMLINSON



David Thomlinson has a 225 acre arable farm in the Vale of York. David has been ploughing for 20 years, in his early years with the YFC and later took up Classic Ploughing Competitions.  David ploughs with a Ford 3000 and Ransome TS86.  David has nothing but Ford tractors on his farm all in excellent working condition.

David is a good competitive Ploughman
