SHOW CALENDAR 2014

Were looking forward to 2014 , here are a few forth coming Events:

The Great Dorset Steam Fair.

To be held on 27th to 31st August. The Club has been invited to mount a showcase celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the launch of Fords ‘World Series’ tractors from their brand new tractor plant at Basildon, most think of them as the 1000 series.  We are still looking for examples to form the display, full details are on the website, the number of entries is limited, but if you would like to enter your tractor please send a couple of photos to me, preferably by email.  We are aiming for a good cross section and hope to have examples of all models in the display.

The Weald of Kent Ploughing Match September 20th at Gate House Farm, Marden  (Rodney Gibson)

40th Grand Henham Steam Rally

To be held on the 20 & 21st September, at Henham Park, near Southwold, Suffolk

This years theme is of all things from the Seventies.

                      Salute to the '40s

To be held on 20th & 21st September 2014 at The

                    Historic Dockyard,Chatham,Kent ME4.

Celebrating hairstyles, fashion and music, though ignoring rickets and the threat of sudden death, this celebration of all things 1940s is part of the celebrations that mark 25 years since Chatham's Historic Dockyard became a visitor attraction rather than somewhere that one might do favours for sailors. The event is run in conjunction with Best Of British magazine, so expect Blighty-based nostalgia aplenty, with period military hardware on show and a NAAFI wagon serving 1940s food, while the Blitz Ball features 1940s-style singer Fiona Harrison and Miss Glory Pearl showing off black market lingerie.
